MATERIALS

  • Your hands
  • A few quick seconds

The Process

Step 1: Finger Wiggle.

  • With both fists raised, raise your index fingers.
  • Flick both index fingers to the right, then to the left.
  • Repeat 10 times, flicking right and left.

Step 2: Finger Waggle.

  • Now, flick your index fingers away from each other, then in towards each other.
  • Repeat ten times, flicking out and in.

Step 3: Now again!

  • Repeat Step 1, flicking index fingers side to side, this time flicking your index fingers to the LEFT, then the right.
  • Repeat ten times.

Step 4: And once more.

  • Repeat the second step, flicking your fingers first towards each other, then apart from each other.
  • Repeat ten times.

Step 5: Feel Refreshed?

  • Repeat both exercises a few times until your mind feels more focused and clearer.

It takes practice – I would practice it myself until I could do it fairly well before demonstrating for students.
